Description
AST Weld-in Roll Cage Nissan Silvia S14 Coupé V5 NASCAR door
The Weld-in S14 V5 NASCAR is the most comprehensively equipped roll cage that AST offers for the Nissan Silvia S14 Coupé. A full roll cage with eight welded mounting points, the complete set of bars and curved NASCAR tubes in both doors. AST explicitly describes this version as made for drift use.
This version leaves nothing out. The complete set of bars, a harness bar at the right height and door tubes that cover the entire side: this is the cage for an S14 that is now used purely for competition.
Key benefits
- Complete set of bars: the most comprehensive specification level AST supplies for this chassis.
- NASCAR door bars: several curved tubes that cover the entire door area.
- Eight welded mounting points: the cage is permanently welded to the bodyshell.
- Harness bar: a fixed anchorage point for the shoulder straps of your harness.
- V-shaped rear structure: the rear section is laid out as a V.
- E355 steel: main hoop with a diameter of 45 mm, the rest of the structure 40 mm.
- Custom reinforcement plates: 3 mm thick steel, designed for each specific car rather than as a universal part.
- Exact fit: the bodyshell is digitised with laser scanners before the cage is designed in 3D.

Fitting and delivery
The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. This is the most extensive fitting job for this chassis: the entire interior, the dashboard and the door cards all come out, and the cage is welded to the bodyshell at eight mounting points. Determine your seat position in relation to the harness bar and the door tubes before the final welding is done. This cage is intended for track and competition use; check the regulations of your own motorsport governing body beforehand.
The heaviest cage AST designs for an S14, from the welded mounting points to the door tubes.
Why choose this Weld-in S14 V5 NASCAR roll cage?
Once the car no longer goes on the road and is used only for competition, there is no reason to compromise on anything. This version gives you the complete set of bars, the best side protection and a harness bar at the right height. You give up interior space and ease of entry, but in return you get the most rigid and best-protected S14 that AST can deliver.
Frequently asked questions
What does the Weld-in S14 V5 NASCAR add compared with the V4 NASCAR?
The complete set of bars. The V4 stops at an extra diagonal brace and the harness bar, whereas on the V5 the entire structure is fully worked out.
What exactly are NASCAR door bars?
Several curved tubes in the door instead of a single straight bar, so that the entire side is covered.
Can I still get in and out normally?
It is tighter. Expect to step over the tubes and for the original door card to be modified or left out.
Is this cage suitable for competition?
It is built for competition use. The exact requirements vary by class and by country, so check the regulations of your own motorsport governing body.
What is the delivery time?
The standard delivery time for this roll cage is 15 to 35 working days, as AST builds every cage to order.
