Description
AST Bolt-in Roll Cage Toyota GR Corolla E210 5-door Hatchback V4
The AST Bolt-in Roll Cage Toyota GR Corolla E210 5-door Hatchback V4 is a full roll cage for the Toyota GR Corolla E210 with five-door hatchback body, bolted in at six points. This Bolt-in Roll Cage GR Corolla V4 is supplied in sections with FIA sleeve connections and assembled in the car, so it can come out again later.
The difference with the lighter-built bolted range lies in the construction: here AST uses FIA sleeve connections and a heavier build. The V4 is the heaviest bolt-in for the Toyota GR Corolla, with a V-shaped rear structure and the most tubing of the range.
Key benefits
- Dismountable: the cage comes in sections and can come out again via the FIA sleeve connections.
- FIA sleeve connections: heavier duty than the standard sleeve connections of the lighter-built range.
- Anchored up to the wheel arch: the rear stays run to the wheel arch.
- Six bolt points: bolted onto six base plates that are welded to the body.
- Heaviest bolt-in: the most extensive of the bolt-in versions, with a V-shaped rear structure.
- E355 steel: 45 mm diameter main hoop, 40 mm for the rest of the structure.
- Custom base plates: 3 mm thick steel, designed per car rather than universal.
- Complete kit: supplied unpainted with fixings, documentation, installation manual and sticker set.

Installation and delivery
The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The six base plates are welded to the body, then the cage is assembled in sections and bolted down. So welding is still required, but it is considerably less work than a complete weld-in cage. On a Toyota GR Corolla, check beforehand that the mounting areas are free of rust: welding onto corroded panels gives a cage that will not do its job in a crash. Re-tighten the bolted joints after the first drives and regularly after that, because a bolt that has worked loose takes the strength out of the structure. This cage is intended for circuit and competition use; check the regulations of your own motorsport organisation beforehand.
Six bolt points and FIA sleeve connections: a complete cage that simply comes out again via the sleeves.
Why choose this Bolt-in Roll Cage GR Corolla V4?
Not everyone wants a cage welded into the car that never comes out again. This version gives you a full structure with FIA sleeve connections, while the car can be returned to its original state with some work. The fact that the cage comes in sections also makes fitting a lot easier.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference with the full roll cage on standard sleeve connections?
Both are bolted in at six points, but this bolt-in range uses FIA sleeve connections and is built heavier.
Is bolt-in as strong as a weld-in cage?
A well-fitted bolt-in is strong, but a weld-in cage spreads the forces over the whole body instead of over six points. With bolt-in you also have to keep checking the bolted joints.
Can I race with a bolt-in cage?
That depends on your class and your motorsport organisation. Some regulations require a weld-in cage. Check this before you order.
Does this cage also fit other versions of the Toyota GR Corolla?
No. This cage is designed for the five-door hatchback. Other body styles and generations have a different structure.
What is the delivery time?
The standard delivery time for this roll cage is 15 to 35 working days, because AST builds every cage to order.
