The AST Removable Full Roll Cage Nissan Micra K11 5-door Hatchback V2 is a full roll cage for the Nissan Micra K11 with five-door hatchback body, bolted in at six points. This Full Roll Cage Micra K11 5-door V2 comes in sections and is assembled in the car with sleeve connections, so it can come out again later.

Unlike a half cage, this structure runs through into the front compartment. Compared with the V1, the V2 adds extra braces in the rear structure, which is built as an X, making the body of the K11 noticeably stiffer.

Installation and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The six base plates are welded to the body, then the cage is assembled in the car in sections and bolted down. The fact that the structure comes in sections makes a big difference: you do not have to squeeze a complete cage through a door opening. On a K11 of this age, check beforehand that the mounting areas are free of rust: welding onto corroded panels gives a cage that will not do its job in a crash. Re-tighten the bolted joints after the first drives and regularly after that. This cage is intended for circuit and competition use; check the regulations of your own motorsport organisation beforehand.

Is welding required?

Yes, for the six base plates. They are welded to the body; the cage itself is then bolted onto those plates and can come out again via the sleeve connections.

Does this cage also fit the three-door Micra?

No. This cage is designed for the five-door. For the three-door K11, AST supplies separate versions, which you will find separately in our shop.
