BMW E36 E46 Rear Shock Absorber Mount Reinforcement

This rear shock absorber mount reinforcement is made for BMWs whose rear strut towers start to crack after years of use and many kilometres. You can use it to repair a cracked mount, but just as well to prevent damage before it occurs.

If the mount is still in good condition, you fit the reinforcement as an additional plate under the existing mount. If the damage is more advanced, you weld it in. The plate is made from 3 mm thick S355 steel, laser-cut and formed on CNC press brakes.

Fitting and delivery

First check the condition of the strut tower. If the panel is still sound, place the reinforcement as an additional plate under the shock absorber mount. If cracking has already started, weld the plate in place. Have that welding done by someone with experience. Delivery time is 1 to 2 days.
