The BC Racing BR coilover kit Skyline R34 rear eye (part number D-72-BR-RS) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the Nissan Skyline R34 GTS and GT-t with rear-wheel drive (ER34) and a rear eye mounting of the rear dampers, model years 1998 to 2001. The spring rate is 8 kg/mm front and 5 kg/mm rear.

The BR series is the all-rounder from BC Racing: a kit for an R34 that is driven normally on the road and is occasionally allowed along to a track day or autocross. You get monotube dampers with a linear piston, 30-click damping adjustment and a ride height that you set independently of the spring preload.

Pay close attention to the version. BC Racing makes two separate kits for the rear-wheel drive R34, because the lower mounting of the rear damper is not the same on every car. With a rear eye, the rear damper ends at the bottom in an eye: a round bush with a bolt passing straight through it. With a rear fork, there is a fork there, a U-shaped bracket. This kit is the rear eye version. If your car has a fork, you need the BR with part number D-18-BR-RS.

Fitting and delivery

The kit is vehicle-specific and replaces the original dampers and springs. Before ordering, check whether the rear dampers of your R34 have an eye at the bottom. We recommend having it fitted by an experienced mechanic and then having the wheel alignment adjusted, because camber and toe change with the ride height. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing temporarily has the kit out of stock, you can still order and we will keep you informed of the delivery date.
