The MTS Comfort Astra G Inox is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the Opel Astra G, model years 1998 to 2009. Comfort is the softest MTS Technik setup: lower and firmer than standard, with as much ride comfort as possible.

On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Comfort Astra G Inox replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• After lowering, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

Frequently asked questions

Does this kit also fit a four-wheel-drive (4×4) version?

No. The MTS Comfort Astra G Inox is not suitable for the four-wheel-drive versions.

What is the difference between Comfort and Street?

All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Comfort (50 and 14-68 N/mm) and Street (60 and 14-68 N/mm). Comfort is the softest. Street is the standard.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
