The MTS Stance E39 Gold is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the BMW E39, model years 1995 to 2003. Stance is the lowest and firmest setup from MTS Technik, for those who want the wheel tight under the wheel arch.

On the Gold version, the steel parts have a yellow zinc coating and the aluminium parts are black anodised.

Note for the MTS Stance E39 Gold: not suitable for versions with four-wheel drive (4×4). Only for cars without level control (NIVO) or factory air suspension. Fitting and delivery

The MTS Stance E39 Gold replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• Cars with EDC and/or a V8 engine require additional original parts for the rear axle: 2x upper mounting (33521091710), 2x support ring (33521090282, to be replaced by MTS ring 303202060), 2x ring (33521092986, to be replaced by MTS ring 303202060).
• After fitting the MTS Stance E39 Gold, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

Frequently asked questions

Does this kit also fit a four-wheel-drive (4×4) version?

No. The MTS Stance E39 Gold is made for the rear-wheel-drive versions.

What is the difference between Street and Stance?

All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Street (70 and 25-43 N/mm) and Stance (90 and 25-43 N/mm). Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
