The MTS Stance E92 Inox is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the BMW 3-series (E90 and E92) and 1-series (E81, E82, E87 and E88), model years 2003 to 2013. Stance is the lowest and firmest setup from MTS Technik, for those who want the wheel tight under the wheel arch.
On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance.

Note for the MTS Stance E92 Inox: not suitable for versions with four-wheel drive (xDrive). Axle load: maximum 1090 kg front and maximum 1135 kg rear; check your car’s vehicle type plate.

Fitting and delivery
The MTS Stance E92 Inox replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.
- The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
- When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
- Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
- Sometimes extra original parts are needed for fitting; these are not included in the set.
- After fitting the MTS Stance E92 Inox, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

If you mainly drive in summer, the Gold version is a more affordable alternative. With the included camber plates you set the camber, which with a large lowering means less tyre wear and more grip.
Frequently asked questions
Does this kit also fit a four-wheel-drive (xDrive) version?
No. The MTS Stance E92 Inox is made for the rear-wheel-drive versions. MTS Technik has separate kits for the xDrive versions.
What is the difference between Street and Stance?
All versions use the same dampers; the difference lies in the Eibach springs and the lowering range: Street (60 and 84 N/mm) and Stance (70 and 110 N/mm). Street is the standard. Stance is the firmest and the lowest.
What is the difference between Gold and Inox?
Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.
How long does delivery take?
