The MTS Street G21 Inox is a height-adjustable coilover kit from MTS Technik for the BMW 3-series (G21) and 4-series (G23 and G26), from model year 2019. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness, for daily use and the occasional track day or drift day.

On the Inox version, the damper bodies are made of stainless steel, so road salt and moisture don’t stand a chance.

Note for the MTS Street G21 Inox: not suitable for versions with four-wheel drive (xDrive). Only for cars without level control (NIVO) or factory air suspension. Axle load: maximum 1070 kg front and maximum 1445 kg rear; check your car’s vehicle type plate.

Fitting is also possible on cars with electronically adjustable damping; that system must then be disabled.

Fitting and delivery

The MTS Street G21 Inox replaces the original dampers and springs and fits on the original mounting points.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• Tip for adjusting the rear: remove the height adjuster, set the spring seat to the new position and refit the adjuster.
• After lowering, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.

With the MTS Street G21 Inox you choose the setup MTS Technik itself recommends as standard: enough lowering for a tight stance, and a character that doesn’t become tiring on the road. If you also drive in winter or the car is parked outside, the Inox version pays for itself: stainless steel doesn’t rust, so the thread of the height adjustment doesn’t seize up. If you mainly drive in summer, the Gold version is a more affordable alternative. With the included camber plates you set the camber, which with a large lowering means less tyre wear and more grip.

Frequently asked questions

Does this kit also fit a four-wheel-drive (xDrive) version?

No. The MTS Street G21 Inox is made for the rear-wheel-drive versions. MTS Technik has separate kits for the xDrive versions.

What is the difference between Gold and Inox?

Gold has steel damper bodies with a yellow zinc coating, Inox has stainless steel damper bodies. Inox is more resistant to road salt and moisture and therefore costs more. Otherwise, the kits are identical.

How long does delivery take?

The MTS Street G21 Inox is delivered within 4 to 7 working days as long as the manufacturer has stock.
