The MTS Street Kadett D Gold is a height-adjustable weld-in insert kit (coilover) from MTS Technik for the Opel Kadett D, model years 1979 to 1984. Street is the standard setup from MTS Technik: a good balance between comfort and firmness.

On the Gold version, the steel parts have a yellow zinc coating and the aluminium parts are black anodised. This is a weld-in insert kit: the original front struts are shortened and welded.

Fitting and delivery

To fit the MTS Street Kadett D Gold, the original front struts are shortened and welded as described in the manual. Have this done by an experienced mechanic or welder.

• The stated lowering applies relative to the standard suspension. If the car has a factory sport suspension, the lowering will be smaller.
• When fitting, check the clearance between tyre or wheel and the strut: at least 5 mm. If it is less, use approved wheel spacers.
• After lowering, have the wheel alignment checked, because camber and toe change as well.
