BMW E36/E30 adjustable front control arm mount UNIBALL (lollipops)

With this E36 adjustable control arm mount, you replace the rear mount of the front control arm (the lollipop) with an infinitely adjustable version with a uniball. This lets you set the front axle geometry of your BMW E36 or E30 precisely. Above all, you can use it to adjust the caster angle and the position of the wheel in the wheel arch.

In drifting, a lot depends on good caster: it determines how the steering self-centres and how the car feels at large steering angles. On a converted E30 there is something else: after the conversion, the wheel sits quite a bit further back in the wheel arch. With these bushes, you put the wheel back in the right place.

Installation and delivery

The E36 adjustable control arm mount replaces the original rear control arm bushes on the front axle. Put the car safely on axle stands, detach the control arm, remove the old bush and fit the new mount. Tighten all bolts to the specified torques with the car on its wheels.

Then set the caster and the wheel position. Because the adjustment is done without removing the bush, you can easily fine-tune it later. Have the wheel alignment redone after every change, because caster also affects camber and toe.
