Two camber arms with rubber bushes for the rear axle of the BMW E46

Installation and delivery

The adjustable camber arms replace the original lower control arms of the rear axle. You remove the standard arms, fit the adjustable arms at the same points and set the length so that you get the desired camber. Set both arms to the same length first, then you have a good starting point.

Only fully tighten the bolts when the car is back on its wheels, so that the bushes are not preloaded in the ride position. Then always have a wheel alignment done: camber and toe are linked, and a proper setup prevents uneven tyre wear.

On a drift car, start with modest negative camber and then adjust it in small steps. After each change, write down how many turns you made, so that you can always go back to a setting that felt good. After the first day of driving, check that all lock nuts are still tight.

You will find more adjustable arms in our camber arms category. For other control arms and track rods, take a look at control arms and track rods.

Detail of the rubber bush and the welded mount of a camber arm

The rear camber determines how much grip you have. With these arms, you determine the camber.

Why choose these adjustable camber arms?

On a lowered E36, E46 or Z4, negative rear camber quickly increases, resulting in less grip and more tyre wear on the inside. Adjustable camber arms give you back control. They are made of thick-walled S355 tube, CNC-machined and TIG-welded, and fitted with 80 ShA rubber bushes that tolerate heat and wear better than polyurethane. The arms have been tested in drifting and rally.

Frequently asked questions

How many arms are in the set?

Two adjustable camber arms: one for the left and one for the right. The price is per set.

Do the adjustable camber arms fit an E36 Compact?

The Compact is not listed. It has a different rear axle from the other E36 models.

What kind of bushes are fitted?

Rubber bushes with a hardness of 80 ShA, which according to the specification are more resistant to heat and wear than polyurethane.

How large is the adjustment range?

The adjustment range is very large, but no exact figure is given.

Does the car need a wheel alignment after fitting?

Yes, always. That way camber and toe are right again.
