The AST Bolt-in Roll Cage for the BMW E36 Sedan V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW E36 with 4-door saloon bodywork. This Bolt-in Sedan V2 builds on the entry-level version and adds extra reinforcement bars, while the cage, with its 6 points and FIA sleeves, still remains removable.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drifters and track drivers who want more rigidity than the base version offers.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. For the design, AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and draws the cage in 3D, so that every tube ends up in exactly the right place. Bear in mind that the extra reinforcement bars take up space in the interior, so plan the fitting together with the installation of bucket seats and harnesses.

Why choose this Bolt-in Saloon V2 roll cage?

If you are regularly on track, you will notice that the extra reinforcement bars of V2 make the chassis more settled in quick changes of direction. You also keep the advantage of a bolted connection, so the car can later be returned to its original state. That way you get more cage without committing the car permanently.

What does V2 add compared with V1?

The Bolt-in Sedan V2 has extra reinforcement bars. V1 is the basic entry-level version with the same six mounting points.

Can I remove the cage from the car later?

Yes. The cage is secured with FIA sleeves and can therefore be removed, without any welding on the bodyshell.

How reliable is the fit on my E36 saloon?

AST scans the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D based on that measurement. The base plates are 3 mm thick and individually designed for each car, so that they sit flush against the floor.

What is the delivery time?
