The BC Racing DS coilover kit Skyline R34 rear fork (part number D-18-DS-DS) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the Nissan Skyline R34 GTS and GT-t with rear-wheel drive (ER34) and a rear fork mounting of the rear dampers, model years 1998 to 2001. The spring rate is 8 kg/mm front and 5 kg/mm rear.

If you regularly do track days with your R34 GTS, the DS series from BC Racing is a logical step up from the BR. The DS has a digressive piston: between 0 and 50 mm/s it damps more firmly, the range in which the body rolls, dives and lifts. You adjust the damping in 30 clicks, the ride height is set independently of the spring preload and the damper body has a satin chrome finish.

For the rear-wheel-drive R34 the DS comes in a rear eye and a rear fork version. This has to do with the lower mounting of the rear damper: an eye with a through bolt or a fork, a U-shaped bracket. This D-18-DS-DS is for the fork. If your car has an eye, the D-72-DS-DS is the right one.

Fitting and delivery

The kit fits the R34 with a fork at the bottom of the rear damper and replaces the original dampers and springs. Check the lower rear mounting before you order. Preferably have the fitting done by an experienced mechanic and have a wheel alignment carried out after setting the ride height. Delivery takes place within 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing temporarily has the DS out of stock, you can still order and we will tell you the delivery date as soon as it is known.
