The BC Racing ZX coilover kit M3 M4 F80 3-bolt (part number I-49-ZX) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the BMW M3 F80 and M4 F82 with rear-wheel drive and front top mounts with 3 bolts, model years 2014 to 2020. The spring rate is 6 kg/mm front and 12 kg/mm rear.

The ZX series combines BC Racing’s DS and ER into a 3-way adjustable coilover kit for competitive track use, long sessions and demanding drifting. You set the compression separately for low speed (20 clicks) and high speed (12 clicks), and the rebound in 30 clicks.

The upright monotube damper has a twin piston, an external reservoir, a digressive characteristic and racing oil with a very high viscosity index. This version is for the M3 F80 and M4 F82 with a 3-bolt front top mount; count the bolts on the strut tower if you are unsure.

Fitting and delivery

The kit is vehicle-specific and replaces the original dampers and springs. We recommend having it fitted by an experienced mechanic; check beforehand whether the front top mount is fixed with 3 bolts and make sure the lines to the external reservoirs are routed clear. A new wheel alignment after setting the ride height is required, because camber and toe change. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock.
