The BC Racing DS coilover kit E30 45mm True Rear (part number I-33-DS-DH) is a coilover kit adjustable in height and damping, also simply called a coilover, for the BMW 3 Series E30 Sedan with 45 mm front struts, model years 1982 to 1991, in True Rear version and in BC Racing’s weld-in version, which requires welding for fitting. The spring rate is 5.5 kg/mm front and 5 kg/mm rear.

Anyone building an E30 Sedan with 45 mm front struts properly for the track ends up with this combination: BC Racing’s digressive DS damping and a True Rear rear end. The DS dampers provide extra damping force between 0 and 50 mm/s, so the body rolls and dives less.

With True Rear the spring also sits around the damper at the rear, instead of a separate spring and damper as from the factory. There are pillowball top mounts or camber plates front and rear. This weld-in kit requires welding and a body shell that, according to BC Racing, has been reinforced beforehand; have that done by a specialist.

Please note: BC Racing specifies that the body shell must be reinforced before fitting a True Rear kit. After setting the height, have the wheel alignment checked; camber and toe change as well. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock. If BC Racing temporarily has it out of stock, you can still order and we will let you know the delivery date.
