Reinforced Rear Top Mounts BMW E30 E36 E46 Z3 Z4

These rear camber plates are reinforced top mounts for the rear shock absorbers of the BMW E30, E36, E36 Compact, E46, Z3 and Z4 (E85/E86). They replace the original upper shock absorber rubbers, which sag and crack after years of use. You get a set of two, so left and right are done in one go.

The top mounts are intended for drift cars, stance projects and powerful road cars. Where an original rubber quickly wears out, these mounts with an 8 mm steel housing and a hard rubber bush last much longer.

Installation and delivery

The rear camber plates go in place of the original top mounts, on top of the rear shock absorber. On the E36 and E46 you work from the boot or behind the rear seat trim, depending on the body style. Keep the car on its wheels or support the rear axle, so that the shock absorber does not extend when you loosen the nuts.

A tip from our workshop: always fit the original washer under the top mount. This applies to every type of top mount and is often forgotten during fitting. Tighten all nuts to the values specified by BMW and check them after the first few kilometres.
