The spring rate is 6 kg/mm front and 4.5 kg/mm rear.

If you are building the AE86 for serious track or competition work, BC Racing’s ER series offers 2-way adjustment: compression and rebound each have 30 clicks and can be adjusted independently of each other. The monotube dampers with dual piston have an external reservoir, digressive damping and fully synthetic oil with a very high viscosity index.

Fitting and delivery

The ER kit is vehicle-specific and takes the place of the original dampers and springs. Have an experienced mechanic carry out the fitting, then have the ride height adjusted and the wheel alignment set again. The delivery time is 1 to 2 weeks as long as the manufacturer has stock.
