The big brake kit F32 355 mm from V-Maxx is made for the more powerful BMW 4 Series Coupé F32, Convertible F33 and Gran Coupé F36. The front axle gets 355 mm two-piece brake discs and 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, and the kit is supplied with sport brake pads and vehicle-specific adapters.

If your 4 Series has a lot of power or you regularly drive it on the track, you want brakes that can handle the pace. This kit keeps performing consistently under repeated hard braking, so your braking point does not shift as the session goes on. The Dutch manufacturer V-Maxx Autosport supplies the kit with a TÜV certificate according to §19.3: this means it is approved for use on public roads.

If your car has 85 to 165 kW without M Sport brakes, the 330 mm kit (20 BM330 10) is the right one. Not suitable for the M4. Minimum wheel size: 18 inch. Check with the fitment template (WFC, Wheel Fitment Chart) whether your wheels clear the caliper; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. It only fits cars with original steering knuckles. Clean the brakes with mild soap; wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium, so do not use it. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Available as additions: V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (PTFE inner hose, with TÜV approval), 500 ml of Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Why choose this big brake kit F32 355?

This kit combines six pistons per caliper and 355 mm discs with a smart choice of materials. Caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, which conducts heat about five times better than steel, while the directional cooling channels draw the heat from the disc outwards. The result is a brake kit that cools down quickly and stays consistent under repeated hard braking. Because it already fits behind 18 inch wheels, it is often the easiest step to 6-piston brakes on your 4 Series.

Frequently asked questions

Which version do I need?

This kit is for the F32, F33 and F36 with 180 to 265 kW, or with 85 to 165 kW if the car has factory-fitted M Sport brakes. Without M Sport brakes in that power class, choose the 330 mm kit (20 BM330 10).

What is the difference between the 355 and the 365 mm kit?

Both kits fit the same versions and have 6-piston calipers. The big brake kit F32 355 mm already fits behind 18 inch wheels; the 365 mm kit has larger discs and requires at least 19 inch.

Can I use this kit on public roads?

Yes, the kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 and is therefore approved for use on public roads.
