This big brake kit Golf 7 GTI from V-Maxx is the 330 mm version for the Golf VII with an aluminium steering knuckle: the GTI, GTD and 2.0 R and the other versions from 63 to 195 kW. The front axle receives 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium.

On the track and at track days, the original brakes quickly overheat under repeated hard braking. This kit gives more braking power and keeps the braking behaviour consistent, with much less fade.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty. Thanks to the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The kit only fits cars with original steering knuckles, here the aluminium steering knuckle with Ø55 mm clamp; check this beforehand. Use a mild soap for cleaning and no wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

You can extend the kit with a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (620 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads without TÜV approval. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Yes. V-Maxx deliberately gives the pads 1 to 1.5 mm of play in the caliper so they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a short click when you change between driving forwards and reversing.
