The big brake kit Ceed JD from V-Maxx is a complete front brake kit for the second-generation Kia Ceed (JD), the Ceed Sportswagon and the ProCeed, including the GT versions with 150 kW. You get 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, red (RAL 3020) as standard.

With 150 kW in the GT versions, a track day asks a lot of the brakes. This kit increases the disc size and the piston area, and dissipates the heat quickly via aluminium calipers, brackets and bells. As a result, the pedal stays firm and you suffer much less from fade when you brake hard repeatedly.

The kit is supplied ready to fit with V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty. With the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The big brake kit Ceed JD is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles. Clean the brake kit with mild soap: wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Available options: caliper colour black, blue or yellow (at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (500 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an additional set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads without TÜV approval. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.
