Citroën ZX V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 290 mm 4-piston

With the big brake kit Citroën ZX 290 mm from V-Maxx, you fit a complete performance brake kit to the front axle of the Citroën ZX and ZX Break (N21): two-piece, grooved brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters for the original rubber brake hoses are included in the kit.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit Citroën ZX 290 mm according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and use the tightening torques stated in them. The kit is only suitable for a ZX with original steering knuckles. Clean the brake kit with a mild soap; wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium and must not be used on the kit.

As an option, we supply V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (460 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Both V-Maxx kits fit all ZX and ZX Break (N21) models from 44 to 120 kW. This big brake kit Citroën ZX 290 mm (20 CI290 07) requires wheels of at least 15 inch, the 330 mm kit (20 CI330 07) at least 17 inch. With 15 or 16 inch wheels you therefore choose this 290 mm kit; with 17 inch or larger you can also take the 330 mm kit, if the fitment template (WFC) confirms it.

Is the big brake kit Citroën ZX 290 mm suitable for a car with more power than standard?

Yes, definitely. A Citroën ZX with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 290 mm discs and 4-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.

How do I maintain the big brake kit Citroën ZX 290 mm?

Use a mild soap and never wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium. With the optional V-Maxx wear indicator set, you keep an eye on the pads. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.
