Citroën DS3 V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 330 mm 4-piston

The big brake kit DS3 is the V-Maxx performance brake kit for the front axle of the Citroën DS3 (S), with 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. You receive the kit ready to fit, complete with V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect.

If you drive track days or circuit days with a DS3, you will notice that the original brakes lose consistency after a few laps. The big brake kit DS3 gives more braking torque, a firm pedal and above all much less fade, because the caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium and dissipate heat quickly.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty. The kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 and is therefore approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit DS3 according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and apply the tightening torques stated in them. The kit only fits a DS3 with original steering knuckles. Do not use wheel cleaner on the brake kit, as it attacks the aluminium; a mild soap is sufficient. For intensive track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Optionally, we supply V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (500 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set, an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads (without TÜV approval) and a different caliper colour: black, blue or yellow at extra cost instead of the standard red (RAL 3020). Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Why choose this big brake kit DS3?

The DS3 has a sporty character, but the original brakes are designed for normal use. The big brake kit DS3 brings the brakes up to the level of what you ask of the car on the track: a larger disc, four pistons per caliper and lots of aluminium that sheds heat quickly. As a result, the braking power stays consistent and fade sets in much later. With TÜV approval according to §19.3 and vehicle-specific parts, the DS3 also remains suitable for use on public roads.

Can I drive on the track with this kit?

Yes. The big brake kit DS3 is made for repeated hard braking. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers. Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads are available as an option; they do not have TÜV approval.

Is the big brake kit DS3 suitable for a car with more power than standard?

Yes, definitely. A Citroën DS3 with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 330 mm discs and 4-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.

Which wheel size is required?

At least 17 inch. Check with the fitment template (WFC) that your wheels clear the caliper; in some cases a wheel spacer is required.

Does V-Maxx also offer a kit for the rear axle?

No, V-Maxx only supplies kits for the front axle. Around 90% of the braking power comes from the front axle.
