BMW E24 6 Series V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 330 mm 4-piston

This big brake kit E24 from V-Maxx gives your classic BMW 6 Series modern front brakes with 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The kit is supplied complete, with V-Maxx sport brake pads and adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect.

If your E24 is driven hard, goes to a track day or is being built up as a restomod, you benefit from brakes that can handle a lot of heat. Thanks to the large amount of aluminium in the caliper, bracket and bell, this kit cools down quickly, so you suffer much less from fade under repeated hard braking.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty. With the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

For the big brake kit E24 you need wheels of at least 17 inch. Check with the fitment template (WFC) whether your wheels fit over the caliper; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit E24 according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The kit is intended for cars with original steering knuckles. Do not use wheel cleaner on the brake kit, as it attacks the aluminium; mild soap is sufficient. For heavy track work, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Options: a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow, at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (PTFE inner hose, with TÜV approval), Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid 500 ml, a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads (these pads have no TÜV approval). Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

You choose the caliper colour (red RAL 3020 as standard, or black, blue or yellow at extra cost) and can also order Steelflex steel braided brake hoses, Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid, a wear indicator set and Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads. Note: those Ferodo DS pads have no TÜV approval.

Can I use the big brake kit E24 on public roads?

Is there also a kit for the rear axle?

No, V-Maxx only makes kits for the front axle. That is where about 90% of the braking power comes from.
