BMW E90 / E91 / E92 / E93 3 Series V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 330 mm 4-piston

With this big brake kit E90 from V-Maxx, you equip the front axle of your BMW 3 Series E90, E91, E92 or E93 with a complete performance brake kit: 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, including V-Maxx sport brake pads and vehicle-specific adapters.

The kit fits all E9x versions from 85 to 240 kW (from 90 kW on the E92 and E93), including xDrive; only the M3 is excluded. That makes it a logical choice if you use your saloon, touring, coupé or convertible at track days, or if you want a brake system that does not give up after a few hard stops in a row.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer. Thanks to the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, you are also allowed to use the kit on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

When fitting the big brake kit E90, follow the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied with the kit. The kit only fits cars with original steering knuckles. Use a mild soap for cleaning: wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Optionally, you can choose a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow at extra cost) and order V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses (PTFE inner hose, with TÜV approval), Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set or extra Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads without TÜV approval with it. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

This big brake kit E90 gives you a considerable step forward without having to move to 18 or 19 inch wheels straight away: it fits from 17 inch. The caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, which conducts heat about five times better than steel, and the directional cooling channels in the disc draw the heat outwards. This way the kit cools down quickly and your pedal stays consistent even after repeated hard braking. And with the TÜV approval you can drive it on public roads.

Frequently asked questions

Which version do I need for my E9x?

This 330 mm kit fits all listed E9x versions up to 240 kW, except the M3. If you want more braking performance, there are also 355 and 365 mm kits with 6-piston calipers: for the E90, E91 and E92 from 145 kW and for the E93 from 90 kW.

Is the big brake kit E90 suitable for a car with more power than standard?

Yes, definitely. An E90 with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 330 mm discs and 4-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.

Does the kit fit behind my wheels?

The big brake kit E90 fits wheels from 17 inch. Check with the fitment template (WFC) whether your wheel leaves enough room around the caliper; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.

Does V-Maxx also offer a kit for the rear axle?

No, V-Maxx only supplies kits for the front axle. That is where about 90% of the braking power comes from.
