BMW F20 / F21 1 Series V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 365 mm 6-piston

The big brake kit F20 365 mm is the largest V-Maxx brake kit for the 1 Series F20 and F21. The front axle gets 365 mm two-piece brake discs and 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, complete with sport brake pads and vehicle-specific adapters. The kit is intended for the M135i and M140i and for versions with factory-fitted M Sport brakes.

If your car runs on 19 inch wheels or larger and you want as much braking performance as possible for track days or circuit driving, this is the kit. The larger disc provides extra braking torque, while all that aluminium sheds heat quickly. As a result, the braking behaviour stays stable, even when you stand hard on the brakes session after session.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and supplies the kit with a TÜV certificate according to §19.3, which means it is also approved for use on public roads.

Without M Sport brakes, choose the 330 mm kit for 70 to 175 kW. Minimum wheel size: 19 inch. Always check with the fitment template (WFC, Wheel Fitment Chart) whether the wheel clears the caliper; a wheel spacer is sometimes required.

Fitting and delivery

When fitting this big brake kit F20 365 mm, follow the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied with the kit. The kit is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles. Do not use wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium parts; wash the brake kit with a mild soap.

As options, we supply V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid (500 ml) and the V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

On 19 inch wheels there is no reason to settle for smaller brakes: 365 mm and six pistons get the most out of your fast 1 Series.

This big brake kit F20 365 mm combines that large diameter with six pistons and plenty of aluminium, a material that conducts heat about five times better than steel. Thanks to this, the caliper, bracket and bell cool down quickly, and the directional cooling channels draw the heat out of the disc. The result: less fade and a pedal that feels the same throughout the whole session.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the 365 and the 355 mm kit?

The big brake kit F20 365 mm has a larger disc and therefore more braking torque, but it requires wheels of at least 19 inch. The 355 mm kit fits the same versions and already works with wheels from 18 inch.

Which version do I need?

For an M135i or M140i, or for an F20 or F21 with 70 to 175 kW and factory-fitted M Sport brakes, choose the 355 or 365 mm kit. If your car does not have M Sport brakes, the 330 mm kit is the right one.

Is there also a rear axle kit alongside the big brake kit F20 365 mm?

No, V-Maxx only makes kits for the front axle. That is where about 90% of the braking power comes from.

Is this kit suitable for an M140i with more power than standard?

Yes, definitely. An M140i with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 365 mm discs and 6-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.
