This big brake kit Golf 3 5×100 from V-Maxx is intended for the Golf III, Golf IV Convertible, Vento, Corrado and Passat 35i with PCD 5×100, and replaces the original front brakes with 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. Sport brake pads and vehicle-specific adapters are included in the delivery.

Under repeated hard braking on the track, the original brakes of these cars quickly get too hot, which makes the braking power drop. The V-Maxx kit has a larger disc and more piston area and dissipates the heat much faster, so the braking behaviour stays consistent.

The Dutch manufacturer V-Maxx Autosport gives a 2-year warranty. The kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 and is therefore approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Follow the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied when fitting the kit. The kit is intended exclusively for cars with original steering knuckles. Clean the brake kit with mild soap and do not use wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium. For intensive track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Available options: a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow, at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (500 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads without TÜV approval. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

That depends on the PCD of your wheel hubs. This kit is for 5×100; if your car has 4×100, choose the 20 VW330 01-4. For a Passat 35i with 5×100 without Plus chassis, there is the 20 VW330 35.

Does the big brake kit Golf 3 5×100 fit behind my wheels?

Yes. V-Maxx deliberately gives the pads 1 to 1.5 mm of play in the caliper, so they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a short click when you change between driving forwards and reversing.
