This big brake kit Golf 4 from V-Maxx replaces the original front brakes with a complete performance brake kit featuring 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The same kit fits the Volkswagen Golf IV, the Bora, the New Beetle and the Polo 9N, and is supplied ready to fit with vehicle-specific adapters.

On track days and circuit days, the original brakes quickly overheat under repeated hard braking. With this kit, the front axle gets more braking power and the braking behaviour stays the same lap after lap, with much less fade.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty. The kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3 and is therefore approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and follow the tightening torques stated in them. The kit is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles. Clean the brake kit with mild soap and never with wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Available as options: a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (500 mm, set of 2, with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval), Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads (without TÜV approval). Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.
