This big brake kit GT86 from V-Maxx replaces the front brakes of your Toyota GT86 with a complete performance brake kit featuring 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The kit is supplied ready to fit, with V-Maxx sport brake pads and the vehicle-specific adapters for the original rubber brake hoses.

The GT86 is a popular base for drift and track cars, and that is exactly where brakes are put under the heaviest load. Thanks to the aluminium calipers, brackets and bells and the directional cooling channels in the discs, the big brake kit GT86 cools down quickly, so you keep braking consistently even under repeated hard braking and suffer less from fade.

Important to know: V-Maxx has no TÜV approval for this version. The kit is therefore mainly intended for track use. If you want to use it on public roads, check for yourself whether that is permitted in your situation. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit GT86 according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The kit only fits cars with original steering knuckles, and the fit of your wheels must be checked extra carefully in advance with the fitment template. Do not use wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium; mild soap is sufficient. For heavy track use, V-Maxx advises removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Options: a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow, at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle with PTFE inner hose (for the GT86 including a convex-concave adapter set), Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid 500 ml, a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads (these pads have no TÜV approval). Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Yes. V-Maxx deliberately gives the pads 1 to 1.5 mm of play so they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a short click when you change direction of travel.
