The big brake kit Polo AW from V-Maxx is a complete brake kit for the front axle of the Volkswagen Polo (AW) from 06-2017, for all versions from 70 to 152 kW. The kit consists of 330 mm two-piece brake discs, 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium, V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters.

The main advantage lies in heat management. The caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, which conducts heat about five times better than steel, and the grooved discs have directional cooling channels. This keeps the braking performance consistent under repeated hard braking, on the track and on the road.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty. Thanks to the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied, including the tightening torques. The big brake kit Polo AW is only intended for cars with original steering knuckles. Clean the brake kit with mild soap; wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium and is not suitable. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Options for this kit: a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow at extra cost; red RAL 3020 is standard), V-Maxx Steelflex brake hoses 620 mm (set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads without TÜV.
