Ford Tourneo Connect SK V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 365 mm 6-piston

With the big brake kit Tourneo Connect 365 mm, you choose the larger of the two V-Maxx kits for the Ford Tourneo Connect (SK) from 02-2022: 365 mm two-piece, grooved brake discs with 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The kit fits all versions from 50 to 90 kW with Ø55 mm front shock absorbers.

If you often use the van fully loaded or already drive on large wheels, this is the version with the largest disc. The kit requires wheels of at least 19 inch, a steel steering knuckle with Ø55 mm clamp and original rear brake discs of at least Ø271 mm. It comes ready to fit with V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and the vehicle-specific adapters. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and the kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3, which means it is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied and use the tightening torques given in those instructions. The kit only fits cars with original steering knuckles; in this application, that is a steel steering knuckle with Ø55 mm clamp. Clean the brake kit with a mild soap and never with wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Available options: V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses 620 mm (set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml) and a V-Maxx wear indicator set. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Why choose this big brake kit Tourneo Connect 365 mm?

If you already drive on wheels of 19 inch or larger, the 365 mm kit gives you the largest disc of the two versions. The caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium, which conducts heat about five times better than steel, and the discs have directional cooling channels. This way, the kit cools down quickly and the braking behaviour stays consistent under repeated hard braking. The kit has TÜV approval and a 2-year warranty from a Dutch manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions

355 or 365 mm: which one should I choose?

Both kits fit the same Tourneo Connect SK and have 6-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The big brake kit Tourneo Connect 365 mm has larger discs and requires wheels of at least 19 inch. If you drive on 18 inch wheels, choose the 355 mm kit (20 FO355 20).

What does the requirement of at least Ø271 mm at the rear mean?

V-Maxx only supplies this kit for cars that have rear brake discs of at least Ø271 mm from the factory. Check this beforehand; with smaller rear discs, this kit is not suitable.

Can I use this kit on public roads?

Yes. The kit has a TÜV certificate according to §19.3, which also remains valid with an officially approved power upgrade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original output.

Is it normal for the brake pads to click?

Yes. The pads deliberately have 1 to 1.5 mm of play, so they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a short click when you change direction of travel.
