Hyundai Veloster V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 330 mm 4-piston

The big brake kit Veloster from V-Maxx gives the Hyundai Veloster (FS) a complete performance brake kit on the front axle, with 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The kit fits all versions from 97 to 137 kW from 03-2011, with the exception of 4×4 versions.

The Veloster has a sporty character, and on the track or during a track day that asks a lot of the brakes. This kit increases the disc size and the piston area and dissipates heat quickly through aluminium calipers, brackets and bells. This gives you a firm pedal and much less fade, even when you brake hard several times in a row.

The kit is supplied ready to fit, with V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters for the original rubber brake hoses. V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty; with the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the kit according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The big brake kit Veloster is only intended for a Veloster with the original steering knuckles. Clean the brake kit with a mild soap, as wheel cleaner attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Options: caliper colour black, blue or yellow (at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (620 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads, which have no TÜV approval. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Is it normal for the brake pads to click?

Yes. The pads deliberately have 1 to 1.5 mm of play so they do not seize when hot. As a result, you hear a click when you change between driving forwards and reversing.

Does V-Maxx also offer a kit for the rear axle?

No. V-Maxx only supplies kits for the front axle, because that is where around 90% of the braking power comes from.
