Citroën Xsara V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 330 mm 4-piston

This big brake kit Xsara is the largest V-Maxx brake kit for the Citroën Xsara, Xsara Coupé and Xsara Break, with 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium on the front axle. The kit is ready to fit and includes V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and vehicle-specific adapters to which the original rubber brake hoses connect.

The kit is intended for the Xsara versions from 66 to 120 kW. If you take one of these Xsara models to the track or often drive it in a sporty way, you benefit from the extra disc diameter: more braking torque, much less fade and consistent braking behaviour, session after session.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty on the big brake kit Xsara. The TÜV certificate according to §19.3 makes the kit suitable for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit Xsara according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied, with the tightening torques stated in them. The kit is only suitable for Xsara models with original steering knuckles. Use a mild soap for cleaning and never wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

As an option, we supply V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (460 mm, set of 2) with PTFE inner hose and TÜV approval, Ferodo brake fluid (500 ml), a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads; these do not have TÜV approval. The calipers are red (RAL 3020) as standard and available in black, blue or yellow at extra cost. Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

Which version do I need: 330 or 290 mm?

The big brake kit Xsara with 330 mm discs (20 CI330 08) is intended for the versions from 66 to 120 kW with wheels from 17 inch. For all versions from 42 to 120 kW and wheels from 15 inch, V-Maxx has the 290 mm kit (20 CI290 08). If you drive on 17 inch or larger and your Xsara has at least 66 kW, this 330 mm kit gives the most braking reserve.

Is the big brake kit Xsara suitable for a car with more power than standard?

Yes, definitely. A Citroën Xsara with more power than standard benefits most from this kit: 330 mm discs and 4-piston calipers give more braking power and much less fade. The kW limits in the application list refer to the original factory output, and with an officially approved power upgrade the TÜV approval remains valid.

Which options are available?

You choose the caliper colour (red as standard, or black, blue or yellow at extra cost) and can extend the kit with Steelflex steel braided brake hoses (460 mm, set of 2), Ferodo brake fluid, a wear indicator set and Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads without TÜV approval.
