BMW Z4 E85 / E86 V-Maxx Big Brake Kit 330 mm 4-piston

With the big brake kit Z4 E85 from V-Maxx, you equip the front axle of your BMW Z4 Roadster E85 or Z4 Coupé E86 with 330 mm two-piece brake discs and 4-piston calipers made of forged aluminium. The kit is ready to fit: V-Maxx sport brake pads with TÜV approval and the vehicle-specific adapters are included.

At a track day or during a spirited drive through the mountains, standard brakes heat up quickly. The big brake kit Z4 E85 cools down much faster, because the caliper, bracket and bell are made of aluminium and the discs have directional cooling channels. As a result, you keep braking consistently and keep fade at bay for much longer.

V-Maxx Autosport is a Dutch manufacturer and gives a 2-year warranty. With the TÜV certificate according to §19.3, the kit is approved for use on public roads.

Fitting and delivery

Fit the big brake kit Z4 E85 according to the V-Maxx fitting instructions supplied. The brake kit is only suitable for cars with original steering knuckles. Never use wheel cleaner, as it attacks the aluminium; mild soap works perfectly well. For heavy track use, V-Maxx recommends removing the dust seals from the calipers.

Optionally available: a different caliper colour (black, blue or yellow, at extra cost), V-Maxx Steelflex steel braided brake hoses for the front axle (PTFE inner hose, with TÜV approval), Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid 500 ml, a V-Maxx wear indicator set and an extra set of Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads (without TÜV approval). Delivery time: 4 to 7 days.

The Z4 has the chassis to brake late; with this V-Maxx kit, it now also has the brakes to keep that up for an entire session.

Frequently asked questions

Does the big brake kit Z4 E85 also fit the Z4 M?

No. For the Z4 M Roadster and Z4 M Coupé, V-Maxx offers separate kits of 355 mm (20 BMZ355 01) and 365 mm (20 BMZ365 01).

Does the kit also fit the Z4 Coupé E86?

Yes. The big brake kit Z4 E85 fits all Z4 Roadster E85 and Z4 Coupé E86 versions except M, built from 06-2003 to 05-2009.

What options are available?

You can choose a different caliper colour (red RAL 3020 as standard, or black, blue or yellow at extra cost), Steelflex steel braided brake hoses, Ferodo Super Formula brake fluid, a wear indicator set and Ferodo FDSR216 DS Performance brake pads. The latter do not have TÜV approval.

Does V-Maxx also offer a kit for the rear axle?

No, V-Maxx only supplies kits for the front axle. Around 90% of the braking power comes from the front.
