This brake cylinder with reservoir is mainly used in hydraulic handbrake systems that are completely independent of the vehicle’s original brake system. This so-called independent system provides more control and precision during, for example, drifting or motorsport applications.

In addition, it is also commonly used on vehicles equipped with a pedal box, where the original brake and clutch pedals have been replaced with a race-oriented configuration. In both cases, the component contributes to improved brake balance and response.”
