BMW E36 E30 Front Bumper Splitter

You fit this BMW E36 E30 splitter under the front bumper of the BMW 3 Series E30, E36 and E36 Compact. It gives the car a race look and makes it look lower on the road. It is a flat aluminium lip with a characteristic bend that runs along the lower edge of the bumper like a hockey stick.

Installation and delivery

The BMW E36 E30 splitter is mounted against the underside of the front bumper. Mounting hardware and fitting instructions are not specified. In practice, you first lay it loosely under the bumper and slide it so that it sticks out equally far on the left and right. Then mark the holes, drill them in the edge of the bumper and fix the splitter with your own bolts, wide washers and lock nuts. An extra support to the body adds stiffness if you often take it on track.

If you want the aluminium in colour, degrease it thoroughly, use an adhesion primer for aluminium and then spray it. Check after the first drives that all bolts are still tight.
