This 240 mm LuK clutch is the original replacement clutch for the BMW E36 323i and 328i with the M52B25 and M52B28 engine. With OE number 21 21 1 223 602 and LuK number 624 2065 00, it replaces the original clutch one for one and delivers the same quality that BMW itself fitted at the factory.

The 240 mm clutch, known in the E36 world as the “2.8 clutch”, has the largest friction surface of all standard E36 clutches. That is why it is also often used as an upgrade on the 320i and 325i, and on M50/M52 swaps in combination with a 240 mm flywheel.

Fitting and delivery

The gearbox has to come out. Check the flywheel for hot spots and wear, and always replace the release bearing and the pilot bearing at the same time. Centre the disc with a clutch alignment tool and tighten the pressure plate in a diagonal pattern to the specified torque. Allow half a day’s work on the lift. The clutch is supplied to order; the delivery time is 4 to 7 days.
