Installation and delivery

Before you fit the E46 saloon rear door panels, remove the original door trim from the rear door. Hold the aluminium panel against the door and check that the edges line up well. How you fix the panel is up to you; rivets are recommended. Mark the holes, pre-drill them and deburr them neatly so that no sharp edges remain.

Check that the door lock and the window mechanism can move freely. A thin strip of foam tape between the door and the panel prevents vibration and rattling while driving.
