BMW E36 Race/Rally/Drift Floor Galvanised Steel

This E36 steel floor lays a flat plate over the uneven original floor in the interior of your BMW 3 Series E36. No more bumps and dips under your feet, but a tight, level surface on which you operate your pedals properly and with control. The plate is made of 1.5 mm galvanised steel, powder-coated black and fitted with grip tape.

Anyone building an E36 for drifting, rallying, time attack or the 1/4 mile usually takes out the carpet and insulation. What remains is a bare, uneven floor. With this E36 steel floor, the driver and passenger get a comfortable, firm surface again.

Installation and delivery

Fitting the E36 steel floor is simple and quick. The plate has mounting tabs along the edges, which you fix to the floor pan with pop rivets, self-tapping screws or ordinary bolts. You decide which method to use: pop rivets give a tight, fixed connection, while bolts make the plate easy to remove later.

Clean the floor pan beforehand and check that no cables or lines run where you drill. Treat each drilled hole with some anti-rust paint or sealant spray, so the floor pan underneath stays in good condition. Please note: one of the product photos shows a sample in stainless steel; the E36 steel floor supplied is powder-coated black.
