Description
Threaded Bracket for Harness Belts according to FIA
This threaded harness bracket is a thick steel weld-in plate with a 7/16″ UNF threaded hole, into which you screw the eyebolt of a harness belt directly. It is produced in line with the FIA appendix on the mounting of multi-point harnesses. Thanks to its compact size of 50 x 25 mm, it also fits in narrow spots where there is no room for a large plate.
Handy for anyone who needs new harness mounting points in a circuit, rally or drift car, for example for the shoulder straps on a cage tube or a cross bar. You weld it in place and immediately have a strong screw-in point.

Installation and delivery
This threaded harness bracket has to be welded in. First decide where the mounting point should go: the manual of your harness and the FIA rules give the permitted angles for the shoulder, lap and crotch straps. Weld the plate all the way round onto a solid part of the body, a cage tube or a harness bar.
Have this work done by an experienced welder. Protect the threaded hole from spatter during welding, so that the eyebolt screws in smoothly later. After welding, treat the seam against rust and check that the eyebolt can be screwed in over its full length.
For harnesses and accessories, take a look at our harnesses for racing and drifting category. If you want to spread the force over a larger area in the floor, the bracket with nut, 65 x 65 mm is a good choice.

Small in size, but with 6 mm steel and a 7/16″ UNF thread, a full-strength harness mounting point.
Why choose this threaded harness bracket?
On a cage tube, a cross bar or a narrow edge, there is often little space. A large plate with a nut will not fit there, but this compact version will. Because the thread is cut directly into 6 mm steel, you do not need a separate nut. The threaded harness bracket gives you a neat and strong mounting point for your harness belt.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference from the bracket with nut?
The threaded harness bracket is smaller (50 x 25 mm) and thicker (6 mm), with the thread directly in the plate. The version with nut is 65 x 65 mm, 3 mm thick and has a welded-on nut.
Which thread does it have?
7/16″ UNF, the size of the eyebolts that come with harness belts.
Does it need to be welded?
Yes, the threaded harness bracket has to be welded in.
How many do I need?
That depends on the number of mounting points you want to make. The price is per piece.
Is the plate rustproof?
The threaded harness bracket is zinc-plated. After welding, you treat the weld itself against rust.
Can I weld it onto a cage tube?
Yes, that is a common spot for the shoulder straps. Make sure the position matches the angles specified by your harness manufacturer and the FIA rules.
