AST Bolt-in Roll Cage BMW E36 Sedan V3

The AST Bolt-in Roll Cage for the BMW E36 Sedan V3 is a full roll cage for the BMW E36 with 4-door saloon bodywork. This Bolt-in Sedan V3 adds door bars for side protection and, like the other versions, is secured at 6 points via FIA sleeves, so that the cage remains removable.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who, besides rigidity, above all value protection in a side impact.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. AST has digitised the bodyshell of the E36 saloon with laser scanners and designed the cage in 3D on that basis, so that all base plates sit flat on the floor. When fitting, pay attention to access to the seat: door bars reduce the space for getting in, so adjust the position of your bucket seat accordingly right away.

In drifting and close racing, the impact often comes from the side, and that is exactly where the door bars of V3 do their job. You combine that side protection with the six bolted mounting points of the range, so nothing has to be welded to the chassis.

What makes V3 different from V1 and V2?

The Bolt-in Sedan V3 has door bars for side protection. V1 is the entry-level version and V2 has extra reinforcement bars without those door bars.

Will my door cards still fit?

That depends on your build. Door bars run through the door card area, so agree on this in advance with your fitter.

What material is the cage made of?

The main hoop is E355 steel with a diameter of 45 mm; the rest of the structure is E355 steel with a diameter of 40 mm. The base and reinforcement plates are 3 mm thick and custom-designed for each car.

What is the delivery time?

The standard delivery time for this roll cage is 15 to 35 working days.
