The AST Bolt-in Roll Cage BMW E46 Touring V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW E46 with 5-door Touring bodywork. This Bolt-in E46 Touring V2 builds on the basic version and adds two front reinforcement bars that run from the main structure to the bulkhead.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who want more rigidity in the front end without already closing off the door opening with door bars.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell; only once that welding is complete is the cage bolted onto them. Bear in mind that the dashboard has to come out in order to fit the front bars.

Version V2 extends the base cage with two reinforcement bars to the bulkhead, for a more rigid front end without door bars.

AST scans the bodyshell of this model with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D. As a result, the tubes and foot plates follow the contours of the E46 Touring, so there is no need for trial fitting and measuring during the build.
