AST Bolt-in Roll Cage Nissan Silvia S15 Coupé V1

The Bolt-in S15 Coupé V1 is a full roll cage from AST Roll Cages for the Nissan Silvia S15 with two-door Coupé bodywork. The structure covers both the rear and the front compartment and is bolted in at six points, each on a foot plate welded to the bodyshell.

What sets this version apart is the rear anchorage. It is not at the wheel arch or in the boot, but in the rear suspension area: the point where the multi-link suspension of the S15 feeds its forces into the bodyshell. As a result, the cage contributes to how the rear axle behaves rather than just to safety.

The sections are joined with FIA connecting sleeves. The V1 is the basic version. The cage is supplied unpainted.

Fitting and delivery

Do not assume that a bolt-in cage is fitted without welding. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell, and only then is the cage bolted onto them. Precisely because the anchorage is in the rear suspension area, that welding has to be right: that is where the load from the rear axle comes straight in.

The interior has to come out before fitting. Every cage is custom-built after you order, with a delivery time of 15 to 35 working days.

Why choose this Bolt-in S15 Coupé V1?

The multi-link rear suspension of an S15 does exactly what you ask of it as long as the subframe and the surrounding bodyshell keep their shape. A cage anchored there holds that shape in place. The fact that you can also dismantle the structure again thanks to the FIA connecting sleeves makes the step far less final than a weld-in cage. For an S15 that may still change roles, that is often exactly the right trade-off.
