The Multipoint 280Z Coupé V1 is a full roll cage for the Nissan 280Z with the S30 chassis in 3-door coupé bodywork, permanently welded in at ten points. That is two more than the regular weld-in range, which spreads the loads over a larger part of the bodyshell.

That is a real gain on a fifty-year-old unibody in particular: the more attachment points, the less stress each point puts on the sheet metal. The cage is built to FIA Appendix J.

Fitting and delivery

Delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Because AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, the tubes fit tightly against the pillars and the floor pan. Bear in mind that, with its higher number of attachment points, a multipoint cage sometimes requires modifications to the interior. Have the welding carried out by an experienced fabricator.
