The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW E46 Coupé V2 is a half roll cage for the BMW 3 Series E46 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This removable E46 Coupé V2 half cage has more bars than the V1 and can still be taken out of the car in sections via the connecting sleeves.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain for drivers who want to get the most out of a half cage while keeping the option of taking it out of the car again.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. As the V2 has more parts than the V1, it pays to keep the fitting instructions close at hand for the first assembly. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D so that it fits your car exactly.

How does the V2 differ from the V1?

The removable E46 Coupé V2 half cage has a more extensive set of bars than the V1. Mounting at four bolting points and removal via connecting sleeves are the same on both.

Can I fit the cage and take it out of the car myself?

After the initial assembly, the cage can be dismantled via the connecting sleeves. However, have the four foot plates welded in by an experienced fabricator.

Is this roll cage homologated?

The manufacturer’s documentation does not list a homologation number for this item. The cage is intended for track and competition use; always check the regulations of your own motorsport organisation.

What if my car has a sunroof or headlining?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof and whether the headlining will stay in place, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.
