The AST Removable Half Roll Cage BMW E46 Touring V2 is a half roll cage for the BMW 3 Series E46 with 5-door Touring bodywork. This removable E46 Touring V2 half cage builds on the V1 and adds extra tubes, so that the forces are distributed over more points at the rear of the car.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain for drivers who use their E46 Touring seriously on track or at drift events and expect more than the basic version.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Book the fitting with a welder: the four foot plates are welded to the bodyshell, after which the cage itself is bolted onto them. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that it fits your car exactly.

Why choose this removable half cage E46 Touring V2?

If you drive regularly, you will find that a single main hoop with backstays eventually falls short. The V2 adds extra tubes on top of that and spreads the load more widely across the four foot plates. You keep the option of removing the structure, so the car stays usable between events.

What is the difference from the V1?

The removable half cage E46 Touring V2 has a more extensive tube structure than the V1, which consists of a main hoop with backstays. Both versions bolt onto four welded foot plates and are removable.

How reliable is the fit?

AST scans the bodyshell of this chassis with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D. The 3 mm steel foot plates are custom-made for each car. The cage is intended for track and competition use; always check the regulations of your own organiser before you enter.

What if my car has headlining?

When ordering, please state whether the headlining will stay in your car, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.

Where is the cage anchored at the rear?

You choose. When ordering, state whether the roll cage should be anchored in the rear suspension area or at the wheel arch, and AST will build the cage accordingly.

What is the delivery time?
