The AST Removable Roll Cage BMW E30 Coupé AWD V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW 3 Series E30 with 2-door coupé bodywork and all-wheel drive, built so that it can be taken out again. This Removable Roll Cage E30 Coupé AWD V2 builds on the V1 by adding the front reinforcement bars running to the bulkhead. The cage is intended for the all-wheel-drive 325iX and does not fit the rear-wheel-drive E30.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain for drivers who want rigidity in the nose of the car without making their E30 unusable away from the track.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. The six foot plates are welded to the bodyshell once, after which fitting and removing the cage is simply a matter of bolting. Remove the dashboard for the initial fitting, as the front bars run along it. AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so it fits your car exactly.

The V2 gives you the rigidity of a continuous front structure, yet still the freedom to take the cage out again on Monday morning.

A welded-in front structure normally means saying goodbye to the dashboard and to everyday usability on the road. This version keeps both options open: on track you get the extra rigidity, and away from it you simply drive with an empty cabin. Does this cage fit a rear-wheel-drive E30?

No. The Removable roll cage E30 Coupé AWD V2 is designed for the all-wheel-drive E30 Coupé, the 325iX. That version has its own floor pan and tunnel, so the foot plates do not line up with a rear-wheel-drive E30.

Why should I choose the removable version?

Because your car remains usable away from the track and the cage can move with you to your next E30 Coupé of the same type. You weld in the foot plates once and keep every option open from then on.

What if my car has a sunroof?

When ordering, please state whether your car has a sunroof, and AST will tailor the roll cage accordingly.
