The AST Weld-in Roll Cage BMW E46 Coupé V2 is a full roll cage for the BMW E46 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Weld-in E46 V2 builds on the V1 and adds the front reinforcement bars, extending the structure into the front section of the interior. The cage is permanently welded to the bodyshell at 8 points.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain, for drivers who want more rigidity around the front than a basic cage offers.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. Expect to strip the interior, as the front reinforcement bars extend to behind the dashboard area. AST has digitised the bodyshell with laser scanners and designed the cage in 3D, so the front reinforcement bars follow the actual shape of the bulkhead.

The V2 extends the cage forwards and turns the E46 Coupé into a noticeably more rigid whole.
