The AST Weld-in Roll Cage BMW F82 Coupé V5 NASCAR Door Bars is a full roll cage for the BMW F82 with 2-door coupé bodywork. This Weld-in F82 Coupé V5 NASCAR combines the complete set of bars with curved NASCAR tubes in the door and is welded to the bodyshell at eight points.

The cage is designed and built by AST Roll Cages in Spain as the top-of-the-range version for F82 drivers who want both the maximum bar package and the best side protection.

Fitting and delivery

The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. This is the most labour-intensive package in the F82 range: there are more tubes to weld than on the lower versions, and the door tubes require extra preparation inside the door. Allow plenty of working hours for this.

More bars and more steel in the door; AST does not go any further for the F82 than the V5 with NASCAR door bars.

Why choose this Weld-in F82 Coupé V5 NASCAR roll cage?

AST digitises the bodyshell with laser scanners and designs the cage in 3D, so that the extensive set of bars and the curved door tubes all fit within the tight dimensions of a coupé. For an F82 that spends the whole season on the drift track, this is the safest and most rigid build in the range.

Why NASCAR door bars instead of regular door bars?

The Weld-in F82 Coupé V5 NASCAR has several curved tubes per door. They absorb more energy in a side impact and at the same time leave more room to get in and out than a single straight door bar.

Does this cage fit a convertible or a G82?

No. This cage is made only for the 2-door coupé version of the F82. AST does not offer a convertible version for this model, and its successor, the G82, has its own cage, which is not interchangeable.

Is this cage permitted in competition?

The cage is intended for track and competition use. Always check the regulations of your own organiser or federation before taking part in a competition.
