Description
AST Weld-in Roll Cage Nissan Skyline R32 Coupé V3
The AST Weld-in Roll Cage Nissan Skyline R32 Coupé V3 is a full roll cage for the Nissan Skyline R32 with two-door coupé body, welded to the body at eight points. This Weld-in Roll Cage R32 V3 is supplied as a welding kit and welded into one unit in the car.
Where the V2 has an X-design at the rear, the V3 gets a rear structure in V-design with extra tubing. The braces run from the main hoop in a V to the rear mounting points and tie the rear of the car together over a larger area.
Key benefits
- Rear structure in V-design: braces in a V to the rear mounting points.
- More tubing than the V2: a stiffer structure for heavier circuit use.
- Eight weld points: the cage is welded to the body in eight places.
- Anchored at the rear: to the rear suspension area.
- Gussets included: to reinforce the joints.
- E355 steel: 45 mm diameter main hoop, 40 mm for the rest of the structure.
- Custom base plates: 3 mm thick steel, designed per car rather than universal.
- Complete kit: supplied unpainted with fixings, documentation, installation manual, sticker set and welding test sample.

Installation and delivery
The cage is built to order; the standard delivery time is 15 to 35 working days. It comes as a welding kit and is welded into one unit in the car. Work from back to front: first the main hoop and the rear anchoring, then the front bars. Leave the welding to someone with experience in roll cages and use the included welding test sample to check the settings beforehand. On an R32, also check the mounting areas for rust, especially around the rear wheel arches. This cage is intended for circuit and competition use; check the regulations of your own motorsport organisation beforehand.
Eight weld points and a rear structure in V-design: for an R32 that spends serious time on track.
Why choose this Weld-in Roll Cage R32 V3?
The V3 is for anyone who uses the R32 seriously on track and wants a stiff rear. The V-design spreads the forces at the rear over more tubing than the V2, and because the cage is welded in, it works together with the whole body.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference with the Weld-in V2?
The Weld-in Roll Cage R32 V3 has more tubing and a rear structure in V-design instead of X-design. The number of weld points stays at eight.
Can I weld the cage in myself?
Only if you have experience welding roll cages. A poor weld takes the strength out of the structure. If in doubt, leave it to a specialist.
Does it fit a GT-R?
Yes, as long as it is a coupé. The cage sits in the interior and has nothing to do with the four-wheel drive.
What is the delivery time?
The standard delivery time for this roll cage is 15 to 35 working days, because AST builds every cage to order.
